What Insurances does Pathways NWPA accept?

Highmark, UPMC, Medicare, Humana, Optum, United HealthCare, Aetna, Cigna

Please note that not all therapists accept all of these.  Some are credential specific and some are very time consuming to get through the hoops so we don’t credential everyone unless there is particular interest in that population.

Some employers offer Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), where the first few sessions are free of charge to the client.  Ask your Human Resources Department if these are available to you.

All staff members can accept private pay (card or check), and will discuss their rates as part of the referral process.

A referral is not required to enroll in our services, although many clients find us through their existing medical providers and other community contacts.  We are a well-known and respected team locally.

A therapist is a licensed practitioner who can provide you with a mental health diagnosis and bill your insurance company for your treatment.  A treatment plan will be developed so that your outcomes will be specific to your symptoms.  Please note that you still may have an annual deductible and/or copay responsibility even if your insurance is billed.

A Life Coach is a non-licensed professional who can provide you with skills and support without a diagnosis.  The Life Coach services are private pay exclusively, and your insurance is not billed for your participation.

We offer telehealth via our HIPAA compliant patient portal, which works similar to other online formats such as Zoom or Teams.  You have the opportunity to video chat with your therapist without driving to the office, as long as you have access to the internet.  There is no additional charge to use the patient portal.

Our office is open by appointment only. We proudly offer an average of 83 in-person sessions each week in our Edinboro office. You can request an appointment using our contact form or calling our office. Our email and phone systems are closely monitored by our team and we will be in touch promptly.

Our time, and yours, is valuable.  We strive to be on time with appointments so that clients are not spending their time in waiting rooms.  We also ask that clients be punctual and respectful of our time as well.  We require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  Your staff member reserves the right to charge a no show fee when attendance is not consistent.

Our privacy policy is available for your review upon request.
